The most notable rise of 2018 however has been the return of Pop Punk. With bands like Neck Deep completely pummeling the Billboard charts and tourin across multiple continents, the spotlight has been shifted back to this energetic, melody driven genre.
One band that has already built a buzz worthy following out of Los Angeles, California is the three piece Pop Punk outfit A Page Unturned. We were lucky enough to get a sneak peak into the bands new Self-Titled release "A Page Unturned" that comes out everywhere on 3/23/18. Since we know people don't want to read an essay we highlighted the best parts of our session with A Page Unturned below.
Since we sat down with APUTD they dominated the first round of Battle For Vans Warped Tour and are on to the next round to earn a spot at the Pomona stop of the final cross country run of Warped Tour. Round 2 takes place on May 26th in Downtown Los Angeles.
The band delivers a familiar yet fresh sound reminiscent of Taking Back Sunday, All American Rejects, and Yellowcard.
Each song takes you on a journey. Yoshi delivers powerful and emotional chord progressions while Damon harmonizes perfectly while driving the lower octaves.
On each track the drums are a standout, think young Travis Barker (including the minimal drum set that sounds like a 11 piece kit).
Damon's vocals have the warm tone that is rooted deeply in Pop Punk and Emo genres that is just the perfect amount familiar..
